Dosra Dozakh is a little Urdu novelette/Afsana authored by Umera Ahmed for an Urdu Digest. This is an Urdu fiction story that represents the difficulties of newly married ladies who could not bring the notorious Dowry to her new family. The curse of dowry is very common in Pakistan. Dowry is a big problem for the middle and lower class families in Pakistan. The most famous Urdu novelist Ms. Umera Ahmed has written a very impressive and sad story of a young lady in a short Urdu novel "Dosra Dozakh" (The 2nd Hell). Dosra Dozakh is the story of a beautiful young wife of a man Mujahid who is in spite of being a mother of his child "Usman" is burnt by her husband and his family just because that she could not give the dowry to them. Umera Ahmed has narrated this sad and impressive Urdu story in a very anguishing Urdu words. The story of the novel is first person narrative by the victim wife Saman who finally died in the burn unit at a hospital 😭.
